The beauty of Jamaica

The Island where my Oratorian brothers and myself have been serving is exceptionally beautiful. St. Philip Neri loved beauty... Indeed beauty brings us close to God. Look at this view... It is a minute's walk from our Oratory ! Blessed be God !

Emancipation Weekend

In Jamaica we celebrate Emancipation and Independence this week ! Two wonderful events in the life of our Island Nation ! However, there is a Road to follow. That Road is Jesus who is the Way, the Truth and the Life ! Without Him we quickly become enslaved and we loose our Independence ! Let us pray that we might stay in this Path and continue for a long time to enjoy the beauty of our Island Nation, truly emancipated and truly free from the Evil One !

My First Post

I am the author of the blog journey of a young priest which I shut down about 5/6 years ago in a set of very difficult circumstances. I feel that the time is ripe now for me to come again and share something of my journey in life. You are my fellow pilgrims and together we walk together towards eternal life.

I have a passion for a number of things...The first is a great desire and love for Truth ! I love St. Theresa's of the Child Jesus' declaration, "Je n'ai jamais cherché que la Vérité". A second thing of course is a trait in the Joyful spirituality  of St. Philip Neri, the Founder of the Congregation of the Oratory (approved in 1575) which is translated as the exercise of the Passion which we Oratorians pray on Fridays. It begins with these words, "May the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ be ever in Our Hearts". Finally, a tender devotion to the Mother of Jesus, is a "must" for any disciples of St. Philip.

Please pray for me as you read these pages. God love you !
